Don't Bury Your Talent

The parable of the talents isn't really about money. It's about what you do with what you've been given and who you're doing it for.

The servant who buried his talent wasn't lazy. He was afraid. Afraid of losing it, afraid of getting it wrong, afraid of the Master's judgment. So he played it safe. And that's the more honest warning—because fear is a quieter failure than rebellion.

This piece is a coin. A token of remembrance for the one thing you're responsible: using what you've been given, faithfully, for an audience of One.

Not for applause. Not for recognition. For the Master.

In many ways, the birth of Proverb & Fable was my own wrestling with this truth—a small act of obedience and a step into an unknown adventure. For that reason, this piece sits close to my heart.
